1 Day Basic Digital Photographic Landscape Experience
Our 1 day basic photographic landscape experience appeals to beginners and photographers who are keen to start developing an eye and skill for the landscape. We have a maximum group size of just 8; this means you receive a high level of one-to-one tuition out on location and back at our digital suite. These packages are ideal to be bought as a gift or for someone looking for their first insights into the world of landscape photography.
Course start time is 9.30am and finishes at 5.30pm
We advise that you get to our studio for 9am this gives you chance for a coffee and a chat before we start at 9.30 where there will be a short tutorial covering what “depth of field” is and how to use it in your landscapes, white balance controls; how the quality changes between Jpeg and RAW settings; how faster shutter speeds can come from changing the ISO levels; and how we use the histogram to achieve the correct exposure.
We then head out on location to put it all into practice, whilst on location you will learn how neutral density graduated filters enable you to record areas of excessive tonal contrast, often between the sky and the land and how they have a significant impact on exposure and the final look and feel of the image. We then begin to explore the creative side of landscape photography, looking at how we find the picture in the first place and then examining how we use the elements within the landscape to build simple but strong compositions.
Our one day basic photographic landscape course including lunch costs £178.25 per person. This includes Vat.
We help you take control of your camera and the landscape giving you the skill to capture a landscape image that you are proud of.
Photography equipment you need to bring….
Digital SLR with lens, tripod, and neutral density graduated filter with holder, good sturdy boots and adequate clothing.
